dressing inappropriately?

ok, so I go to an awesome party with a whole load of people I know. I'm thinking, yeah, casual... because well.... it is casual..... and i go casual for everything anyway... i have no nice clothes!

anyway, yeah, so I go casual, kaki quarter length shorts and a black t-shirt with "DMU.AC.UK" on it... and little smear of paint on the sleeve as well. my mate, he goes with me, t-shirt, jeans. you know, we were just all causal and stuff, which is fine right? i don't see anything wrong with what we were wearing.... its not like i had major cleavage or hot pants or anything.... COME ON! now that would be bad.

everyone else at the same party, they were pretty damn casual too. Hawaiian shirts, jeans, just having a laugh... I mean, it was karaoke and a Chinese... not night at the Rivera sipping champagne. but one bitch, one annoying, picky bitch decided... once me and my friend had left the party, to declare that we were inappropriately dressed to everyone on our table...... WHO THE FUCK IS SHE TO SAY SHIT LIKE THAT? I was appropriately dressed... I was causal...... it wasn't like a turned up in suspenders and a mini skirt that could pass as a belt! I MEAN WHAT THE FUCK? SERIOUSLY, WHERE THE FUCK DO PEOPLE LIKE THAT GET OFF BITCHING ABOUT STUPID... PETTY SHIT? NO FUCKING WAY.... NO WAY, SHE COULDN'T EVEN SAY IT TO MY DAMN FACE!

the only reason I know, is because everyone on that table, apart from her, I've been good friends with for over two years... and that bitch didn't even know who I was... even though I've seen her about for at least 3 months.... I KNEW WHO SHE WAS... LOUSY COW..... anyway, she was going on about the inappropriateness of my clothes... (which no one else seemed to mind about) and the person, who was very defence and a uber person, wasn't having any of it and totally set her straight by pointing out the fact there were people there dressed a lot less casually than I was..... basically, justice was done, and I'm glad of it. because very rarely people like that are set straight.

still, my point being.... casual is not inappropriate unless stated otherwise... you don't go to a party to show off what a pretty frock you have or how much makeup you can afford by slabing enough on your face to paint the inside of the Tardis. no, you go to unwind, chill out, relax and have some uber fun... and you sure as hell cant do that if you're too busy re applying makeup and sitting at a funny angle (if at all) because your dress maybe fashionable... but it sure as hell isn't comfortable.

what's more, if you're not only worried about your own appearance but everyone else's to the point where a comment must be made..... how much fun can you possibly having?!.

all in all, people like that can fuck off. just like she did when she got verbally owned.
